Grave Site Marker Gallery
The Concord Reformatory Cemetery is the burial site for the 218 forgotten men who died while incarcerated, buried in graves with only a number and no name. Serving time in prison is difficult, and dying with no friends or family to claim one’s body after death is a lonely ending.
By naming these forgotten men, we recognize them as people, not numbers; we turn the markers into monuments and honor those who died while in custody. Explore each marker below to put a name to a number, or click on the link to our Interactive Cemetery Map for locations and bios of each man.
