Sam Williams Receives Beyond Excellence Award from Massachusetts DOC

Yesterday, Sam Williams, CPO Executive Director, was honored by the Massachusetts Department of Correction at their Beyond Excellence Awards presentation for his exceptional volunteer work across multiple DOC sites. Sam’s contributions include supporting and facilitating Restorative Justice programs and retreats, as well as promoting wellness initiatives like yoga. He has also played a key role in Toastmasters graduations and is an invaluable volunteer at facilities including MCI-Norfolk, Pondville Correctional Center, and MCI-Shirley.

Beyond his work within the DOC, Sam embodies the heart and energy of Concord Prison Outreach. His efforts drive key initiatives like volunteer recruitment, outreach programs such as the Holiday Gift Bag Project and Welcome Back Pack Project, fundraising, speaking engagements, and countless other essential aspects of our organization.

We are incredibly proud and honored to have Sam as part of our team, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition of his dedication and compassion!
