CRJ’s Race and Community Dialogue Forum: “Barriers & Bridges: Supporting the Reentry Journey of Women”
Join Executive Director Sam Williams and Board Chair and President Liz Rust for the Center on Crime, Race, and Justice (CRJ) and its Community Advisory Board present the 6th Annual Race & Community Dialogue Series, exploring important topics on race, equity, and communities of color.
This is an upcoming forum, “Barriers & Bridges: Supporting the Reentry Journey of Women,” which will explore the challenges women face during reentry, including trauma, access to resources, and pathways toward stability, healing, and belonging, as well as the role of community and institutional support in bridging these gaps.
Panelists include Desiree Rivera Decoo, Director of Women & Family Services, Massachusetts Department of Public Health; Dominique Price-Conley, DSW, LICSW, Director of Reentry and Case Management Services with the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizens; Elizabeth Rust, Director of the Regional Housing Service Office in Concord, MA and President/Chair of Concord Prison Outreach Board of Directors; our own, Jada Y. Vaughan, PhD Candidate and Instructor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice; and Dr. Ayana K. Bean, Founder and Executive Director of A Year And A Day Foundation.
The discussion will be co-moderated by Ashley Montgomery, Executive Director of the Office of Returning Citizens, City of Boston, and Sam Williams, Executive Director of Concord Prison Outreach.
This virtual forum will be held on Tuesday, April 28th from 3:30–5:00 PM (ET) on Zoom, and is open to the Northeastern community and the public.
