March 20, 2023: Whose Heritage?: Building, Monuments, and Roadways

Concord Prison Outreach invites you to our Spring Community Discussion series entitled “21st Century America: The Re-Emergence of Hate Crimes.”

This five-week series will examine the intersections between social science data, cultural attitudes and beliefs, regionalism, policymaking, and health focus interventions. Using a trauma-informed format, we intend to apply Restorative Justice principles and practices, breath work, storytelling, and active listening skills to explore, understand, and develop practical solutions to identify hate motivated crimes in our community.

Location: Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden Street, Concord, MA and via Zoom livestream

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Main Speaker: Sam Williams, Executive Director, Concord Prison Outreach

Guest Speaker: Jack McDevitt, Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Northeastern University
